I then got in touch with Currys (which is what Carphone Warehouse is now) and they confirmed they’re not doing any tele sales like that and know it’s a scam going around.

Got a call from a guy who said "Hey love, how's your day going?" I asked him who he was and why he was calling me "love" out of the blue. Then he just hung up on me. I could hear other people talking in the background, sounded like a call centre, and he had an Indian accent.
