Got a call from someone claiming to be Liam at BT, asking for our Director by his first name about moving to an online phone system. The bloke went on about other companies they were working with, which totally broke GDPR rules. When I called him out on it, he had no clue what GDPR was! I mentioned I’d checked his number and he was nowhere near BT, plus he clearly didn’t understand client privacy at all. Told him I wasn’t interested and he said he’d hang up because I was being “difficult and abrasive”! I reported it to BT afterwards and they confirmed it’s definitely a scam.

Got a call from someone claiming to be Liam, said he was from BT. He asked if we still had an ISDN line and if it was active. Didn’t feel comfortable talking about it to some bloke on the phone, so I just said nothing. Then he started saying he’d be turning it off. Seems like a scam or one of those pushy sales calls to me.
