Got a call from someone wondering if they’d got hold of my previous company, which I sold about five years back. When I said no, he then asked if I was working for myself. I said no again, so he wanted to know what I did for a living. I told him I work in the police force, and he goes “oh no, you’ve just made my day worse” and then she just ended the call... quite odd really.

Got a call earlier from some bloke called Alfie at Connect who was proper persistent. He kept asking for info so his manager could sort out a great mobile offer for me. Told him I wasn’t interested, but he just wouldn’t back off.

Pretty much the same experience with them, they got really aggressive when I said I needed to check with my husband first. They even had the cheek to ask if I could just put them on hold while I rang him! 🙄 I ended up hanging up - 23 minutes gone from my work day just like that! So rude and way too pushy! Definitely blocking that number now!

Today, this number rang me up about my business. The bloke said he was calling from Vodafone. I told him I couldn’t chat just then because I was busy with a client. He turned quite hostile, insisting I had to call him back as it was urgent. I explained that nothing was more important than being with my customer and ended the call. Good thing I hung up after seeing what others said here.

Got a call from someone claiming to be with Vodafone, saying they could smash my current deal (which I was pretty sure was bollocks). I asked if he was actually from Vodafone, and he said "No Connect", which told me he had no clue about my account. Proper pushy bloke, had to cut the call off sharpish. Total scam, no doubt about it!

Just like many others have said, this 'Molly' knew my company's name but had no clue who I actually was. When I asked if she was with Vodafone she said no, it was Connect instead. She kept going on about how she wanted to compare phone contracts since apparently all small businesses are stuck with pricier deals than hers. She was really pushy and chatty, and even when I said no, she didn’t stop. All I could do in the end was politely refuse and hang up.

I got this really persistent woman on the phone who just wouldn't stop asking questions. From what I gathered, she was going on about Vodafone raising their prices - typical for phone providers around this season. I tried to tell her I wasn’t in the mood to argue and just ended the call. Turns out it wasn't even Vodafone at all, definitely a scam. They didn’t know my name, only the name of my business, so they were clearly trying to fish for info. Proper annoying.

Got a call from someone super pushy about beating my EE deal, but their quote was miles off. They left me waiting on hold and then just cut the call out of nowhere. Felt dodgy to me, all sales spiel then dead silence. Seemed more like a scam or just plain rudeness.

This number rang me up last Friday, saying they wanted to discuss my mobile contract with Three. I told them I was tied up in a meeting with a client and to maybe call back later. They kept insisting it would only be a quick five minutes. I explained that my meeting was more important and, since they ignored my request to phone back, asked them to remove all my details from their system as I no longer consented to them keeping my info. They then blurted out something about what Three had recently done… I just ended the call and blocked the number straightaway.

I got a ring from a company named "Connect" claiming they're linked with EE, saying they help sort out the best deals for business accounts.
