This bloke called me up speaking with a really strong Asian accent, saying "hello dear, my name is Timothy." He claimed he worked for EE and that as a loyal customer, I could get a new phone along with loads of freebies. I told him I wasn’t with EE (which is true in this case), and he asked who my provider was. I said Vodafone. Then he suddenly switched it up, offering me the latest iPhone on Vodafone for just £30 a month. I called him out on it, gave him a rude word back in his own language and told him to jog on before slamming the phone down.

There was loads of noise in the background and the caller said they were from something like AE or AA, saying I owed £37.50 and had to pay straight away. When I asked what the amount was about, they just cut the call.

I picked up and a guy said "hello, how are you?" then just went quiet... so I just ended the call. I'm pretty sure it was a scam.
