3 yearsI got a call from someone pretending to be with Currys PC World. It was obvious he was just reading off a script, and the minute I cut him off, he got really nasty and aggressive. I've already reported it to Trading Standards.CurrysWorld3 yearsI keep getting calls from this number and whenever I pick up, they just end the call right away. It's really annoying.3 yearsThis number kept ringing me to sell some iPhone, total rubbish. Just ignore or block if you dont want hassle!3 yearsThe noise in the background was so loud I couldn't make out what he was saying properly. When I asked for his identity, he just ended the call. I've gone ahead and blocked the number now.3 yearsSome bloke said he was ringing from Currys PCWorld, offering big discounts on contracts, like an iPhone 14 with no upfront fee and a two year deal for £40 a month, same deal for the Samsung S23 Ultra too. But I knew it sounded off since Currys PCWorld isn’t actually into phone contracts - that’s more Carphone Warehouse’s thing, and their shops are separate. The guy’s voice was weird too, like he was trying to hide it with a dodgy accent. When I asked where he was calling from, he got a bit twitchy and just said “Currys.” I pushed for an address and he said Kensington High Street, but when I asked for a door number, he refused saying he couldn’t give it out. I told him, if he can’t give me an address, then there’s no way I’m sharing my personal info or card details. Plus, Kensington High Street has loads of businesses, so what difference does the door number make? He probably realised I wasn’t having it, sounded a bit stuck, then just cut the call. Pretty obvious scam, if you ask me.Currys PCWorldSamsungUltraCurrysCarphone WarehouseKensington High StreetKensington High Road3 yearsGot a call from someone pretending to be from Currys PC World, talking about some massive offer on the iPhone 14. When I told him that PC World doesn't actually sell phones, he started getting all annoyed and then said some really crude stuff, even made a rude comment about my kids, which was totally off since I only have two daughters. I just told him to buzz off and hung up straight away.CurryPC World3 yearsGot a call from this exact number earlier and honestly, I’m relieved I didn’t pick up after seeing what everyone’s saying here. Got a call like that too, trying to sell me some "amazing" offer on an iPhone 14. I kept telling them I wasn’t interested but they just kept pushing their spiel until I just ended the call. Now, I don’t bother answering numbers I don’t know - I’d rather ring back if I can check it’s a legit caller first.3 yearsPretty sure this was a scam call. The person on the line spoke with a strong Indian accent. All I could really make out was the name "Dave" and something about mobile phones.
