3 yearsReceived a dubious call purportedly from Currys PC World. It was obvious the bloke was just reciting a script, and heaven forbid you try to interject; he turns all nasty and confrontational. Have notified Trading Standards about this unsettling experience.CurrysWorld3 yearsI keep getting calls from this number and whenever I pick up, they just end the call right away. It's really annoying.3 yearsReceived a message about an iPhone being offered - best to cut ties with this number immediately!3 yearsThe noise in the background was so loud I couldn't make out what he was saying properly. When I asked for his identity, he just ended the call. I've gone ahead and blocked the number now.3 yearsI received a rather suspicious phone call from someone claiming to represent Currys PCWorld, offering an unbelievable deal on contracts. They touted an iPhone 14 with no upfront fees and a two-year agreement for merely £40 a month, the same offer applying to the Samsung S23 Ultra as well. However, I was immediately sceptical, as I knew for a fact that Currys doesn't deal in mobile contracts - that’s Carphone Warehouse's territory, and they actually have a storefront nearby. The chap on the other end of the line sounded quite unconvincing, almost as if he was trying to mask his accent or disguise his voice. When I inquired about his location, he seemed quite bothered, insisting that he had already mentioned being from Currys. My next question about the address caught him off guard. He tossed out Kensington High Street as his location, but when I pressed for a specific door number, he outright refused, claiming they had a policy against sharing that information. I pointed out that with so many businesses on Kensington High Road, revealing just a number shouldn't be an issue. At this point, it seemed he realised he was backed into a corner, as if my questions were making him nervous. He abruptly ended the call, which only reinforced my belief that I was dealing with a scammer.Currys PCWorldSamsungUltraCurrysCarphone WarehouseKensington High StreetKensington High Road3 yearsI've just had a rather dubious phone call from someone purporting to represent Curry's PC World, touting a supposedly massive offer on the iPhone 14. When I pointed out that PC World doesn't actually stock phones, he got quite riled up. The chap then resorted to foul language, making inappropriate suggestions, which was utterly ridiculous considering I have two daughters, not a son! I told him where to shove it and hung up. What a right laugh that was!CurryPC World3 yearsReceived a call from that very same number earlier. Feeling relieved I didn’t pick up after seeing the remarks here. I’m absolutely fed up with all these nuisance calls!3 yearsI received a call purporting to be from Currys PC World. Honestly, I could tell it was dodgy just from their accent and how they spoke. I had no qualms in telling them to clear off!Currys PC World3 yearsAbsolutely, I received a call from that number as well.3 yearsI was in a right foul mood when this individual rang me up. It absolutely reeked of a scam, especially with that dodgy accent and his dodgy claim of being from some company. I lost my temper and just ended the call.3 yearsHaving skimmed through other remarks, I've been lucky enough to sidestep this particular call. I’ve had my fair share of annoying rings peddling what they claim to be a "fantastic" offer on the iPhone 14. Even after I firmly expressed my disinterest, the caller stubbornly persisted with their pre-prepared spiel. Eventually, I couldn’t take it any longer and just hung up. Now, I’ve made it a habit to ignore any numbers I don’t recognise; I’d much rather return the call once I’m certain it’s a legitimate contact.3 yearsAbsolutely a scam call, without a doubt. The chap had a thick Indian accent that was hard to miss. I only caught a snippet of what he said, specifically the name "Dave." There was some mention of mobile phones in there as well. Classic textbook example of a scam, if you ask me!Dave3 yearsI was browsing Amazon for an iPhone 14, and lo and behold, half an hour later, I received a phone call from ‘Currys’ offering me a discount. When I mentioned I’m registered with the Telephone Preference Service, implying their call was unsolicited, they promptly ended the conversation. Quite the cheek, really!AmazonCurrysTelephone Preference Service3 yearsI just got a phone call from this number, but they terminated the call as soon as I picked up. After seeing the comments here, I’ve decided to go ahead and block them.Submit Your Own Report (023 8244 4139)
