I was absolutely fuming after that call! The woman had the audacity to correctly state my name and then asked if I was still on the hunt for additional work. I promptly informed her that I'd never expressed any interest in such a thing. But then she insisted that I had applied, citing my name, email, and number as being on their system. When I attempted to point out that the surname she mentioned was completely off and that it’s not unusual for mistakes to occur with phone numbers, she simply accused me of lying! It turned into a ridiculous argument where she persisted in trying to determine my identity, despite the fact that she had no clue who I was. I eventually had to end the conversation. If this outfit were genuine, surely they’d refrain from getting into disputes over such obvious inaccuracies!

I received a rather suspicious call from someone claiming to be from BT. They wanted details about our phone system to provide a quote. When I pressed for more information, they were quite evasive, which only added to my suspicions. I ended up saying no and hanging up, as it seemed dodgy to me.
