I’ve received multiple calls on my daughter’s phone from someone inquiring about a person named Pauline. She tried to clarify that they had the wrong number, but they proceeded to ask her about her identity. My daughter, quite understandably, mentioned that she’s just a child and requested them to stop calling. To my horror, they then had the audacity to ask her whether she had lost her virginity. At that point, she abruptly ended the call and came to inform me about the whole unsettling incident.

Some bloke called my home and asked straight away for me by just my first name. My teenage daughter picked up and he started using really filthy language, which was proper shocking. He even tried to steer the chat into sexual stuff. Luckily, my daughter ended the call quick smart, but they’ve not given up. Over the last fortnight, I’ve had about 15 calls from different numbers all trying the same thing. It’s been really distressing.

I received a call from this number, and the person claimed to be from an online trading firm. I hung up straight away as soon as I mentioned that I don’t engage in online trading. It felt rather dodgy, to say the least. The caller was a woman with what sounded like an Eastern European accent.
