Got a call from AO about insurance for an appliance that hadn’t even turned up yet! I told them I had the chance to buy insurance when I placed the order, so if I wanted it, I would’ve sorted it then. Wasn’t impressed with them trying to sell me insurance before the thing even arrived. Dealing with their customer service has been a total nightmare - might be polite and say it’s nothing personal, but honestly, they’re so frustrating to deal with. Never ever going to recommend them to anyone!

So I got a call from someone claiming to be from The AO Care team, asking me to verify my address. I’d had my tumble dryer delivered a couple of weeks prior, so I was immediately a bit wary. I asked why they needed my address as surely they already had it if they were calling me. They just kept repeating some rehearsed lines, saying maybe I didn’t understand and kept insisting I confirm my address, which I refused to do. After a while it came out they were talking about insurance, and I told them I wasn’t interested. They then hung up on me pretty sharpish.

Like some others have said, this call confirmed my AO order and delivery info, then tried to pitch me appliance insurance. The guy was quite nice, but I said no thanks as I wasn’t interested. He didn’t push too hard, just asked what I'd do if the appliance stopped working. I said I'd get it fixed or just replace it. He didn’t ask for any bank details, maybe he knew it was pointless. Could be convincing for people who are more vulnerable, so thought I’d mention it. Might even be a bit of harassment.

This is the second time they have tried calling me since the purchase but from reading the other comments, it’s clear they’re just trying to push me into buying more.
