Today, 05/10/2018, I received a call from a number saying it was HMRC. They told me to get in touch with a solicitor about some case they said was against me, but it was all rubbish. The number they called from was 023809705155.

Received a dodgy call from someone claiming to be from HMRC, saying they were keeping tabs on my property! What a load of nonsense! These scammers really have the audacity to cook up such outrageous tales.

Got a call from someone pretending to be from HMRC, total scam! They were trying to scare me into giving personal info. Watch out, these fraudsters are really sneaky nowadays.

Got a call from 02382145887 today, they left a message saying something like: "238 2145 887, I repeat 238 2145 887. Avoid further legal action. Thank you." Honestly, you’d expect them to be a bit more careful with their threats and say the full message properly. I’m definitely reporting this to the ICO and I encourage others to do the same. Pretending to be HMRC to scam people is illegal, and it’s also against the rules to cold call anybody on the TPS list. The more complaints they get, the better chance we have of shutting them down.
