I got a call from someone claiming to be Microsoft, with a recorded message. I hit 1 because they said it would connect me to a supervisor. Then, I just put the phone by my radio and walked off for a bit. At one point, I heard someone yelling "Hallo" through the receiver, which was odd. Eventually I hung up. Not sure if it really did anything, but it gave me a bit of satisfaction.

I received a phone call claiming to be from Microsoft, alleging that my computer was under some sort of attack. Honestly, I reckon this was nothing but a scam, and I made that quite clear to the caller. I'd advise anyone to steer clear and refrain from providing any personal details to such individuals.

I got a call from a bloke with an accent that definitely wasn’t British, asking weird stuff about my computer and some virus warnings I’d supposedly got. He never said who he was but tried to check my name, which I didn’t give. Then he told me to punch in some commands, but I didn’t even say whether I was using a Microsoft PC or an Apple device, which seemed to annoy him. After that, he got quite rude and just ended the call. Total computer scam, watch out!

I’ve lost count of how many times this number has attempted to get in touch with us. We always let our voicemail take the calls from numbers we don’t recognise. The moment the caller hears the message stating, ‘All calls to this line are screened - if you're a sales caller, please terminate this call now’, they typically hang up before they even get to the full word ‘sales’. It’s clearly someone on the other end, not a recorded message!

I received a rather unsettling call on the 8th of January, 2022, from someone claiming to be "Mr Microsoft." Their tone was quite menacing as they warned me that should I refuse to comply with their demands, they'd take drastic measures to disable my computer and even hinted at sending some unsavoury characters to my home to handle the matter directly. I've since taken the step of blocking this number to ensure I don't hear from them again.

Some people pretending to be from MICROSOFT called me but they totally weren't. Never let anyone like that get access to your computer or install stuff they ask for. It’s a massive risk - you could lose loads of money and your personal info might end up in the hands of others selling it on. Be careful!

These blokes are nothing but fraudsters. They purport to represent Microsoft, but believe me, they do not. The most sensible thing to do is to end the call without engaging. Under no circumstances should you allow them to gain access to your computer, or download any applications or software they suggest. It could end up being quite an expensive mistake, not to mention the risk of them pilfering your personal information, which they’ll likely flog off to others. Stay vigilant!

On the morning of 3rd January 2022, at about 7:51, I got a call from 02382029875. It was a bank holiday Monday, and not a single soul was awake - even my 96-year-old mum was still in bed. I got a call saying something about Microsoft. The lady on the other end, who had a kinda Asian accent, got really loud with me after I told her I don't use a Microsoft PC. It was pretty rude.

Got a call from a woman saying she was from Microsoft. I wasn’t in the mood to mess about, so I just told her straight up, “Look, we both know you’re not really from Microsoft.” She didn’t get angry or rude or anything, and seemed like she might have tried to talk me round if I’d given her a chance.

The caller claimed to be from Microsoft but got really rude when I told them I wasn't having any problems and asked them to stop ringing me.

I’ve never had any issues with Microsoft, so I don’t get why they’re ringing me up.

Got a call from a bloke saying he was from Microsoft, claiming my laptop got hacked and was involved in dodgy stuff. I told him I run my own IT security firm and that I’m well aware of these types of calls. Even then, he persisted trying to convince me my laptop was compromised. I just wished him luck and ended the call.

Not sure who it was, I just blocked the number right away. I usually get these scam calls around half past twelve on Tuesdays.

Got a call from a bloke claiming he was from Microsoft. I didn’t hang about - told him exactly where he could shove his nonsense, threw in a few choice words, then just ended the call.

They claimed to be from Microsoft’s security team, but honestly, they’re just trying to scam you.

I got a call from a woman claiming to be with Microsoft. She said it was "to your computer" rather than "about your computer," and that instantly seemed dodgy to me.

This number's been ringing me a few times but no one's speaking, just silence. Then a bloke claimed to be from Microsoft, but I wasn’t having any of it and told him so before I ended the call.

Got a call from a woman with an accent, claiming to be from Microsoft tech support about my computer. It's that classic Microsoft scam again. When I told her Microsoft doesn't contact like that, she got really rude and then just cut me off.

Somebody rang me saying they were from Microsoft. They already had my name and even mentioned part of my address. When I told them they clearly weren’t from Microsoft, they just ended the call straight away.

Got another one of those calls from some bloke claiming he’s with Microsoft. Probably another scam where they try to get you to hand over your IP or something, then they sneak a virus onto your PC and ask for loads of cash to fix it. This nonsense has been going on forever, hasn’t it?

Got a phone call from a bloke saying he was with Microsoft, claiming my "Windows Microsoft product" had some kind of problem. When I asked for specifics, he couldn’t explain what the issue was, how they spotted it, or why it was linked to my computer at all. To top it off, he ended the chat by calling me an idiot - charming, right?

Got a call on my landline from 02382029875 claiming to be from Microsoft, something about issues with my computer. I told them I don't own a computer, then they switched to asking about my iPad. I told them I don’t really use any gadgets and said goodbye. They've actually called me a couple of times before.

Been getting calls from those Microsoft internet scammers like nonstop this week, at least eight times on different phone numbers. Trying to block them is useless since they keep switching numbers all the time.

Got a call around 3pm yesterday from a lady with an Asian accent who somehow already knew my last name. She said she was from Microsoft, but I told her flat out that Microsoft never rings people directly. I cut the call right there. No doubt, this was a total scam.
