I got a call from a really staticy line, a woman named Kerry-Anne said there was going to be a power cut on April 3rd in New Milton, between 8:30am and 4:30pm. She asked if I ran a business and requested my email to send a confirmation. I never got the email, so I rang her back. Kerry-Anne picked up again but said I’d probably been left off the list! That seemed a bit dodgy to me. I think I’ll ring Southern Electric directly to check everything.

The call came through with a terrible, scratchy connection. A woman said she worked for my electricity company as some kind of subcontractor, warning me about a power cut planned for February 2025 with Scottish and Southern Energy. She asked if I was set up as a business. When I pressed her on which subcontractor she was with, she seemed unsure, before eventually saying Surge Energy. I looked them up and they’re not connected to electrical work at all. Felt dodgy to me, so I ended the call straight away.
