Got a call from a number I didn’t recognise so I just let it ring. I always save my contacts with names, so any number I know pops up with a name, but this one didn’t. Felt a bit dodgy, so I didn’t pick up.

Received several calls from them, finally picked up and they just shouted into the phone before abruptly ending the call!

They called me, said they were from the Ministry of Works and told me someone at my place had an industrial injury and could claim compensation. I told them no one here had any injuries and just laughed it off. They got a bit rude after that, so I just said goodbye and ended the call.

It was pretty scary, they rang me up, wanted to know my name, but as soon as I said it was me, they just dropped the call. Bit dodgy if you ask me.

I got a call from someone saying there’s been a new government rule about hearing loss at work and that I might be owed £5.00 compensation. When I told them I’m a union rep, they just hung up straight away. Feels like one of those dodgy cold calls to me.
