Got a call from this really insistent Asian 'study agent' bloke who wouldn't say why he was ringing or how he got my phone number. Before I could say a word, the first thing he asked was to ‘verify my info’. I’m all up for proper surveys like YouGov that follow the rules, but this was nothing like that. Felt like a phishing scam trying to grab some details, probably to pester me later with more calls and piece together my identity. I just ended the call and blocked the number straight away.

Got three calls from the same marketing firm today. Honestly, just blocking or not answering is the easiest way to deal with them.
