I received a call from this number earlier today around 5:58 PM, but I chose to ignore it, as I usually do with unfamiliar numbers. When I tried calling back, it just kept ringing without anyone answering. If it had been our bank or some other important service, I would have expected a recorded message or immediate response when I dialed back. It seems more plausible that this is just a scam rather than anything of genuine importance.

So, we’ve managed to get this chap to greet us with a cheerful "hello," yet he insists he can’t hear me at all. We’re inclined to trust B, though we really haven’t a clue about who this person might be. Has anyone got any thoughts or suggestions?
