Got a call from someone claiming to be from Homeserve about my account renewal, but I've never even had a policy with them. When I questioned them, they just hung up on me.

This was obviously a scam, took out £4.50 in three separate £1.50 premium texts. I got in touch with Giffgaff, who were really helpful and gave me my money back. They also showed me how to block these premium SMS through my Giffgaff account settings, so fingers crossed I won’t receive any more dodgy messages. I never replied or sent any STOP message to these scammers at all!

Saw this after a McDonald's ad popped up and thought I’d give it a go. Tried texting STOP to quit, but it never went through. Now I’m kind of stuck, don’t know what to try next.

Beware of Dealzshake! They charge a sneaky £4.50 a week through reverse texts unless you message STOP (which costs 15p) or ring their local number to opt out. Make sure you report them to Ofcom!
