Never got a voicemail on our home phone. We're retired and hardly ever even turn it on, so how did they find this number? Must be some sort of scam, I reckon!

They keep pushing hard to sell double glazing, and once you ask for a quote, you can’t shake off the salesman, he’s super pushy. The price they give is crazy expensive, like thousands! Proper dodgy trader stuff... then they ring their manager and suddenly, “just for today”, they’ll knock a bit off the price. Honestly, steer well clear!!

Had a run-in with some double glazing sales from First Home Improvement. Thought it was a parcel delivery so I opened the door, figured might as well hear them out since they looked like they were genuinely trying. Since then, they’ve rung me three times about setting up an appointment, but I’ve just ignored every call. Weirdly, they asked if I was married or single - apparently it’s a tactic so if you’re married, they bring both partners to the house hoping you’ll say "I need to check with my spouse first." And if you’re on your own, they send two people round to pile on the pressure. Classic sales gimmick! They start with a mad high price then "check with their manager" (really just some automated phone message) to knock a bit off. They also claimed there were grants for warm home discounts… which have been gone for ages. So the nonsense kicked off right away. Honestly tempted to get them back to the house and secretly film everything for a YouTube video, but then again, not keen on wasting that much time with them!
