I had an absolutely dreadful encounter with a caller the other day. The individual was incredibly impolite and belligerent, speaking with what sounded like an Eastern European accent. They began by asking for someone by name, which prompted me to inquire who I was speaking to. This only made them more hostile, as they flat-out refused to identify themselves and insisted that I pass the phone to the person they were after, claiming it was urgent. When I pushed back a bit, their aggression escalated, and I was told to ‘shut up’! They kept insisting they’d ring back. All in all, it was a rather unpleasant experience.
