It wasn’t really a scam, more like a way to make some quick cash. A woman called, speaking very clearly, asking if I had loft insulation. She said that all loft insulation has damp problems and offered a free damp inspection. Of course, she’d probably find something wrong and say I needed new insulation. To me, it sounded like a load of rubbish and just a sales pitch, so I politely said no thanks.

I wasn’t sure who'd rung me, so I phoned the number back, but all I got was that old dial-up noise. Pretty sure it’s some kind of scam.

got a call from some place called car phone warehouse but the caller ID said vodafone. bit confusing, not sure who they really were.
