i stopped picking up my landline after i got caught out by a talktalk refund scam for £200. now i just use 1471 to check who’s calling. from what people are saying here, seems like this scam is still going around. i’ve actually left talktalk now since the caller had loads of my security details, stuff only talktalk should have. makes you wonder if they’re somehow passing info onto scammers.

Got two calls from this number but they didn’t leave any voicemail. Cheers for the heads up... I’m gonna block it now!

I got a call from someone with an Asian accent pretending to be from Talk Talk. She wanted to speak to my wife using her maiden name and told her to turn on the computer because of some security issue. She was quite pushy and not very polite. I ended the call quickly and let Talk Talk know about it, but they said they hadn’t heard anything about it.
