I got a call from a number claiming to be Southampton city council tax dept, and I also received a message from what looks like the same number about unpaid council tax. Thing is, I don’t live in Southampton and never have. The phone I use was bought second hand, so maybe that's why. A quick Google search says the number is genuine, plus it’s linked to the Southampton council website. Still, I reckon it could be some sort of clever scam.
