So this just happened again - I got a call from yet another different number, even though I already reported two similar calls last month. Today, it was from 01235 619355. Same weird thing: dead silence for ages before this automated woman just said "Goodbye". Seriously, why do these calls always land on my phone?

Today at 10.01am I got another call just like the two I had last week, which I also mentioned below. It was the same deal - silence for about 20 seconds then a recorded voice saying “Goodbye”. But this time, it was from a different number, 0207 7385656. Feels like they’re trying to gauge reactions and then checking these “Who-Called” reviews to see what people are saying.

I just got a call a few minutes ago, around 3.24pm, from this number. There was about 10 to 15 seconds of silence before a recorded voice said "Goodbye". Funny thing is, I had the very same experience yesterday morning, but it was from a different number - 07873 830640. Seems like these cold call lines might be checking if anyone answers or maybe they’re short on people to actually take the calls.
