Got a call from someone saying they're with Vodafone, telling me my sim card had expired or something. The person on the phone was quite hard to catch what they were saying. I ended the call pretty quick because it felt like a dodgy scam.

Got a call from someone saying they were with EE, using a Southampton number. I work there myself, so when I told them I'd check their details on our internal system, they quickly ended the call. Oddly enough, a few days earlier the same name popped up again but from a Belfast number 02896016481. Definitely seemed suspicious to me.

This bloke kept saying he was from EE but honestly I couldn’t catch a single thing he was saying. He was going on about needing to upgrade my SIM card and asking for my details, which felt really dodgy.

Had a call from someone who spoke so fast and unclear I could barely catch what they were saying. They kept mentioning codes that sounded like they were from Vodafone and asked for my details, but I didn’t give anything away. After hanging up, I called Vodafone directly and they told me they weren’t trying to switch my phone or SIM - it was a total scam, no doubt about it.

called saying they were from EE and would need to upgrade my sim to a brand new modified one that would arrive my address in next day or 2. Asked me to provide my email address for "verification". Very fast, urgently spoken broken English and lots of background noise. I hung up immediately

Got a call from someone claiming to be with Vodafone. I asked who exactly they wanted to speak to because I suspected it was a scam. Instead of answering, the bloke shouted at me and kept saying ‘It’s just procedure’. Proper rude!

There was this bloke on the phone with a heavy Indian accent who said, "Hi, I'm Peter, ringing from Vodafone, your mobile network, how's it going?" I've been with ID for about half a year now and O2 for almost a decade, so I kinda felt like he was just making it up.

I got a call from someone claiming to be Vodafone, saying I had to swap my SIM for an upgraded version - but I never got any letter or message about it beforehand. The call kept cutting out and their English was really dodgy. They did send a text with a verification code that showed Vodafone on my phone though. When I asked them to tell me my postcode to prove who they were, they just ended the call right away. Felt like a scam to me.
