8 yearsThey claimed my computer was hacked, but when I asked which one, all they said was ‘yours’. I wanted them to prove who they really were, so I turned off the WiFi before they tried to show me some ‘product code’ on screen - just a hex code that my son’s PC has too, definitely not a licence. While I was checking with my son, he told me I was just wasting his time. I told him, “You called me, so I’m the one wasting time here. My family’s priority.” He started shouting, so I didn’t bother and just hung up.Microsoft8 yearsToday at about 12.50, got a call from an Asian gentleman claiming to be from Microsoft. Kept pushing to find out if I was the primary account holder. I refused to say, asking instead what was the purpose of his call. He kept pressing me about the ownership. Eventually, I asked, “If I confirm I’m the owner, what exactly do you want?” He said my computer had been compromised for the last couple of months by criminals trying to get my info and cash. He just wouldn’t shut up, so I told him I had my own tech bloke and ended the call. BMicrosoft8 yearsGot a call from some bloke named Daniel saying he was from Microsoft support in Paddington. No doubt it was a scam.DanielMicrosoftPaddington8 yearsSome bloke called Michael claiming to be from Microsoft rang me up saying my computer was under attack and he could fix it.
