About an hour back, I got this robotic call from someone called Shirley, something about my IP address. They wanted me to press 1, but I didn't. Weird thing is, the usual auto message that’s supposed to play never even came on. Quite odd really.

I got a voicemail saying that my internet had been hacked and my phone would be cut off. I ended up chatting with a lady from India and gave her a fake address, 3 Acacia Avenue. I acted like I had no clue what an ip address was, and when she threatened to disconnect my line, I told her I was hanging some washing out and everything was fine. She kept pushing but I just said I didn’t get what ‘broadband’ meant. Turns out that number really belongs to a legit company but these scammers are faking it.

Got a call from some automated voice saying my IP had been hacked. 100% a scam.

Got a robocall earlier but couldn’t catch the company’s name properly. They said my internet was gonna be cut off today and asked me to press 1 to talk to a technician or something like that. I just hung up and rang my internet provider to check, and they said there’s no problem at all. After that, my provider blocked the number straight away.
