Today, I received a rather unsolicited call from someone purporting to be from BT's technical support. He claimed there were numerous IP addresses linked to my WiFi, suggesting I was in a precarious situation. Naturally, I was hesitant to divulge any personal details, to which he assured me he wasn’t after any sensitive information. Instead, he merely wanted to know how I utilised the internet and the devices I owned. Well, I thought I'd turn the tables and have a bit of jolly with him. He became quite flustered, and ultimately, he hung up on me. I decided to ring back the number, but surprise, surprise - no response. I've blocked the number and now I’ll be lodging a complaint with my ISP.

Received a call from these blokes earlier today, asserting that my internet was supposedly being accessed by unauthorised individuals and that there were some dodgy files on my router. I made it perfectly clear that I do not wish to receive further calls from them.

They purport to be from BT yet had no clue what my name was. They insisted I access my laptop, but when I mentioned I only had a tablet at hand, they became rather irate. It was clear they were just trying to pull a fast one. Utterly fraudulent!
