I got a voicemail from this number earlier today. It’s from sse homecare services, and they were calling about ending my policy with them. Seems to be a legit number.

This number called me on my landline twice - once on 31st of December and again today, 6th January, about 5.15pm. All they do is say “hello” then quickly hang up! What’s the point of that, is it some sort of joke or just a pointless way to fill their time? Either way, I’m not having any of it! I’m a pensioner and rely on my phone to keep in touch with loved ones. I don’t need some daft person randomly calling and just saying “hello” before cutting off. Once could be an accident, but twice? That’s pretty strange. I hope they don’t bother ringing a third time!

Today at about 12:35pm, I got a call on my landline from this number. They just said hi and then quickly hung up! The area code seems to be from Southampton. I’ve no clue who it might be or the reason behind their call. I don’t know anyone from that area at all, so I’m guessing it’s either a wrong number or just some annoying spam call. Not gonna bother calling back though.

Received a rather peculiar call from this number purporting to be SSE. They insisted I ring their official line, which I did, and thankfully, that number checked out. But when I contacted SSE directly, they had no knowledge of any such call. It's all a bit strange, isn't it? Just a friendly word of caution to keep your wits about you!
