Someone rang me up pretending to be from HMRC and kept saying I or my lawyer needed to get back to them.

They claimed to be from HMRC and told me to call back, but when I did, no one picked up. They warned me that if I didn't get in touch with them or my solicitor, I'd be in serious trouble legally. I'm pretty sure this is a scam because HMRC usually sends letters first.

Like a few others mentioned, I got a call pretty quick with someone speaking with a foreign accent claiming to be a health care consultant. They asked a couple of questions but their replies were pretty unclear. Really though, I should’ve just ended the call straight away!

Got a call from a number I didn't recognise but didn’t pick up. It went straight to answerphone so I just ended the call. Looks like it might be a call centre judging by what others have said. I've gone ahead and blocked the number now.

They spoke with a foreign accent and it was a bit tricky to catch what they said, but I think the word 'disconnect' came up somewhere in the call.

After a bit of quiet, a bloke came on the line asking me to say my name out loud. Then he started asking if I’d mind answering some quick questions about Health Care. He said it wouldn’t take long, just a few minutes. I’m not one for talking to cold callers so I said no thanks. He just hung up after that. I’ve gone ahead and blocked the number now.

I usually dont pick up our home phone unless the number looks familiar. From what ive seen in other comments, this sounds like one of those scam calls, so its best just to hang up and not get involved.
