I got a call from this number saying there was something wrong with my national insurance number.

On the 16th of July, 2021, I got a call from 02380170724, which turned out to be Fusion BPO Services. A call centre chap asked me if he could quickly ask three questions for their client, Scottish Power. I said no thanks. He was quite polite about it and ended the call straight away.

Got a random call about switching my energy provider, totally out of the blue. When I asked for the company name, they couldn’t even tell me or it didn’t ring any bells. Pretty dodgy if you ask me.

Got a call from 02380170724 again, this being the second time. The initial call was odd, as the bloke wouldn’t reveal who he was. When he rang back, he addressed me by name and even rattled off my address, repeatedly checking if it was right. I never said ‘yes’ because you never know, they might record your voice and misuse it. I just kept replying with ‘possibly’. The guy was quite pushy and only ended the call when I said ‘no comment’. Honestly, I was tempted to shout something silly like “Jesus, the three kings and a donkey!” Anyway, blocked this number now.

THEY CLAIMED THEY WEREN'T TRYING TO SELL ANYTHING, BUT IT JUST FELT OFF TO ME, SO I ENDED THE CALL IMMEDIATELY!

The call started with them asking if I was Mr [my real surname], then quickly mentioned they weren’t trying to sell anything and claimed to be from a company called Fusion. I’ve had calls from these lot before and usually just brush them off, but this time I told the lady I’ve made it clear several times I’m not keen. I warned her if they didn’t take my number off their list, I’d report them for harassment. She said she’d delete my details from their database - which I reckon is just some dodgy spreadsheet full of data they’ve probably scrapped illegally. We’ll see if that actually happens or not.
