Totally a scam, watch out!

Got a call that just hung up straight away, looks like one of those scam calls checking if the number is live. They tend to try again later when someone actually picks up. I’ve put it down as a scam because I get calls like this all the time every week, mostly from places like India and Pakistan. The number looks like it’s from the UK but it’s definitely fake. Watch out for this kind of stuff! 👍🏼

I’m based in Plymouth, Devon and got a call from this number earlier today around 3:10pm, coming from Southampton. I didn’t pick up as I had a feeling it was some sort of scam. I looked up the number here and saw a comment from only a few hours ago saying the same thing. Looks like it’s not safe to answer. I’d really suggest not picking up if it rings you, like others have warned.

Got a call from a guy with an Asian accent, said something about a policy review. When I asked why he was ringing, he said it would be good to check some info. Told him I’m not interested in any sales. Pretty sure it was just a scam, so I said no thanks.

They tried to get my personal info, so I just blocked the number straight away.

This afternoon I got a call from someone saying they were from the National Debt Helpline. I told them to take me off their call list because I’m bombarded with calls like this every week. He started going on about money I supposedly owe... I couldn't help but laugh and asked if they could help me out with a massive debt of £27.4 million instead! Then I asked if their firm was FCA registered and to give me their registration number. They said yes, but then went on to say my own mobile number back to me. Totally disgraceful!
