A chap on the line claimed there were funds waiting for me in relation to a claim I had lodged (I indeed had one that was previously with a firm that has now gone under), but they needed me to transfer a certain sum into their bank account first. I requested an email to verify this, which he sent without delay. He identified himself as being from 'Queensback'. However, when I looked up the company registration number included in the email, I discovered it belonged to 'QueensbEck'. I then visited the actual Queensbeck website and spoke to a woman who informed me that they’ve received numerous reports about this same con, and that it's entirely bogus. The legitimate Queensbeck have already taken action against 'Queensback' by notifying the Action Fraud line. I'm planning to do the same.
