Someone called saying they were from HMRC, saying if I didn’t press 1 to speak to them, I’d be reported to the police for fraud. I pressed 1, and someone picked up. When I asked why they were pretending to be HMRC and threatening me, they just hung up.

Had a call from a woman with a foreign accent pretending to be from BT about my broadband and some emails. I couldn’t make much sense of her and just laughed out loud. She then said, “what’s so funny?” I told her I don’t even have BT and called her a bloody scammer, told her to sod off! Bit harsh, but I got scammed just last week, and I’m still shaken up, so I’m not taking any chances this time.

Got a call from this number, some bloke said he was from BT and asked if I was the one paying for the internet (felt totally fishy straight away, definitely not BT). He claimed there was a virus on my internet, but I told him I knew he wasn’t from BT and he just hung up. Then he rang back and started shouting at me, so I told him I’d report the number to the cops and ended the call. He called a third time and swore again, so I hung up once more. The fourth time he rang, I just ignored it.

Got the same call today from a woman with an Asian accent claiming she was from BT saying my internet had security issues that needed fixing. I told her I’m not actually a BT customer and she just got irritated and said it wasn’t important. Quite rude really. That’s when I started thinking it might be a scam. I asked if she knew who my real provider was and she got even more annoyed, raising her voice like I couldn’t understand her. Then she said she’d get her supervisor on the line to help explain, like I was thick or something. I just ended the call. BE CAREFUL!!!

Got a call from a man with an Asian accent, saying he was from BT and that there was an issue with my internet. He just wouldn’t believe me when I said I have Virgin cable. I ended up hanging up on him, but he called straight back. I shouted at him then dropped the call again. He rang back once more! I’m pretty sure I must’ve hurt his ears this time. This number rang me at 2:35pm on 1st Jan 2018. My lad is always watching "Scammer Grammar" on YouTube, which came in handy coz this daft Asian bloke sounded just like the muppets on the vids. He claimed BT was sending me warnings about my internet and said I had to sort it out straight away at my terminal. I told him to jog on but he wouldn't quit! Ended up hanging up while he was rambling on in an accent so thick I could hardly understand a word. Proper muppet.

I've been getting calls nonstop from 0236985478 over the past few weeks about my internet, but they won't clearly say what’s wrong. The person was really impolite, so I kept hanging up on him. Even after that, he kept ringing me back non-stop. When I told him I was recording the conversation and asked for his name, he started swearing and threatened to come to my home and take me and my family away. It was very unsettling and threatening behaviour.

I said I couldn’t hear him properly and asked for his number so I could call back with a clearer line. He dodged it, kept rabbiting on about the internet. I kept asking for his number. Got a call from a woman pretending to be from BT, saying there was something wrong with my computer and their network. She wanted me to turn on my PC, but it was already on since I was using it. When I told her that, she asked what I could see on the screen. I mentioned my email and a document I was working on. Then she asked how many devices were at home. I hesitated for a moment and she kept pressing me, saying "come on, answer!". I told her she was the one who called me and there’s no need to be rude while I’m thinking. She just hung up after that. Pretty suspicious if you ask me.

I received a call from this chap who wanted to chat with the person responsible for paying the internet bill. When I requested his name, he bizarrely inquired if I was on my own. I replied in the negative, and he ominously said, "Do you fancy dying?" followed by an equally unsettling, "How about a little jaunt?"
