I keep getting nuisance calls that hang up on me without saying a word. It's getting right on my nerves!

I recently had a chap ring me up, claiming he was from the Microsoft technical support team, saying there were some problems with my computer that needed addressing. Just a heads-up! I highly doubt this is a legitimate Microsoft contact number.

Got a call from a guy named Max, sounded Indian. He asked what my monthly phone bill was. I told him I wasn’t sure. Then he claimed he could cut my phone charges to £12.99 a month. After that, he just said bye and ended the call.

if you keep getting silent or dropped calls, you should really file a complaint with ofcom. putting it here won't bother these spammers at all, but ofcom actually pays attention and it only takes a minute or two to report online. your network provider won't do much since they cash in by selling caller id and making money from blocking services.

Got a call from some bloke claiming to be Steven from “Pakistanistan” or wherever, saying my number’s getting upgraded or something. Funny enough, he already knew my name. Thing is, I actually work in telecom from my home office, so next time he rings, I’m just gonna play some tunes down the line for him. Cheers for that 🤣

I missed a call and when I checked my ansaphone, there wasn’t any message left.

This morning the phone rang and my wife picked up, only to get this absolute idiot on the line. When she tried to find out who it was, he just snapped back with something like, “what, are you some f¥#king id##?” Honestly, this guy and his company should be called out and held responsible for this nonsense.

I’ve had quite a couple of these calls recently - honestly, I wish they’d be fake Microsoft scammers instead, they’re way more entertaining to mess around with. These lifestyle survey things are just a pain, so I just shoot the breeze with them and feed them loads of made-up personal details to throw their system off even more. If more folks did this and messed up their records, maybe they’d finally vanish.

I've had loads of calls from numbers that look quite alike lately. When I picked up one with the 023 code, the line just dropped. Since we don't know anyone from that region, I've started just blocking and ignoring these calls on my home phone.

They keep ringing me but the moment I pick up, they just hang up straight away. It's really annoying!

Not sure who was ringing me but I really wish they’d just leave me alone.

got a call from some indian or pakistani bloke pestering me about lifestyle stuff. when i told him to buzz off and not to ask questions, he got proper rude. he even threatened to keep ringing until i gave him answers! what a cheeky bugger!
