One thing that’s helped me loads when I actually catch someone on the phone is to pull the phone away from my mouth and ask anyone else nearby, “Are you running the trace?” I tell them we need to snare these callers and get the team in Southampton (or whatever place the call shows up from) ready to act while I stall the caller. Usually, they don’t bother phoning again after that.

For quite a few months now, I've been getting calls like others have mentioned here. Usually it’s from this number, though sometimes it’s from a very close variant. I’ve tried everything people recommend - given fake names, denied the address, the lot. I’ve even been pretty harsh with them, but never shared any real info since that just seems to encourage more calls. Reported it loads to TPS and ICO but honestly, it’s made no difference whatsoever.

I get calls from this number almost every day, but whenever I pick up, no one’s there. It just keeps ringing through. Sometimes it rings a couple of times a day, which is really frustrating. I’d love to find out where these calls are coming from.

What a nasty lady! I thought it might be one of those usual cold calls, but having worked in a call centre myself, I always try to be polite and never just slam the phone down. This woman, who sounded like she had an Indian accent, was shockingly rude and then just cut me off mid-conversation. Totally awful behaviour. - caller: anon - female voice.

I’m gettin so irritated with these calls, they keep coming like 3 or 4 times every day from 02333333333. It’s proper annoying now!

Somebody called claiming it was a survey. I told them I wasn’t interested and just hung up.

this number keeps ringing me, so I just let it go to voicemail. nothing’s ever left though. quite annoying!
