Got a call around 7.30 this evening from someone speaking with a strange accent. I couldn't make out what they were saying and they just ended the call. Both my mobile and landline are on the TPS list, so when I mention they're breaking the rules, they usually don't bother ringing back.

So irritating! Honestly, what’s the use when they just drop the call as soon as you pick up? I’ve dealt with these kinds of calls before. Last time, they claimed there was something wrong with my computer! Luckily, I’m not daft... I told him I needed to run a few security checks before going any further. He said his name was John Cliff. When I asked for the business address, he just said ‘Manchester’. These callers are absolutely daft. I've taken to messing about with them, telling outlandish stories like how I got knocked over by a helicopter falling from the sky or that I was run over by the Queen’s car. Usually, they lose their cool and come out with the rudest threats, saying things like they'll do horrible stuff to me. I just have a good chuckle at their expense. Loads of these annoying calls keep hitting our home landlines on the good old British network, so the people calling must be leasing a line. Whoever runs the system (BT maybe?) must be getting paid by these callers through some bank, so they know who's behind the calls and are making money letting these scammers get away with it, which honestly should be illegal. Guy with an Indian accent, claimed he’d been in some accident, kept saying yes (seriously, it was kinda funny), had him go over everything like 30 times. Honestly, makes my day when these scammers call :D
