This number rang me yesterday and again today; both calls were to a private, unlisted number that I’ve kept entirely to myself. Quite suspicious, wouldn’t you say? It’s likely yet another dodgy phishing attempt generated by some automated system.

Ich habe am 19. Januar 2011 um 20:00 Uhr und dann nochmals um 20:05 Uhr zwei verpasste Anrufe von der eben genannten Nummer erhalten. Merkwürdigerweise hatte ich etwa zehn Minuten vorher, um 19:50 Uhr und 19:55 Uhr, Anrufe von der Nummer 06028992054 - die ebenfalls auf dieser Webseite erwähnt wird und ebenso suspekt scheint! Seltsamerweise hatte ich zuvor nie Schwierigkeiten mit telefonischen Belästigungen.

Hey there! Just got a call from some place called Forsa Institute, yapping on about something or other. I wasn’t really keen on it, to be honest. When they pressed further, I flat out told them I wasn't interested. They asked again, "Really not?" and I simply replied, "Nope, bye!"

I received a call from this very number just today, so I thought it would be wise to share my experience on this platform.

I've been receiving incessant phone calls from a rather dubious entity named Forsa, which is apparently some sort of research firm based in Germany. Their address reads as Max-Beer-Strasse 2, 10119 Berlin, with a branch operating out of Dortmund. Quite bothersome, if you ask me!

1) Received a call from +49 231 7257820 on Friday, 18th March 2011, at around 6:55 PM on my ISDN line via a random connection. 2) When I tried to return the call, it was some research company babbling on about opinions and surveys.

Seit etwa drei Monaten erhalte ich täglich Anrufe von dieser Nummer, und das stets zwischen 18 und 21 Uhr. Das Besondere daran ist, dass es sich um eine meiner Nummern handelt, die nicht einmal im Telefonbuch verzeichnet ist. Ich kann mir einfach nicht helfen, aber ich vermute, dass die Telekom unsere Nummern an forsa weitergibt. Schließlich sind sie ja auch deren Kunde. Wo bleibt da nur der Datenschutz in Deutschland?

Just received another call, would you believe it? Honestly, even on a bank holiday, there's no peace. I can sort of understand it during the week, but this? Absolutely not.

In principle, the Forsa Institute should be familiar to everyone. However, for the past two and a half weeks, I've received calls mostly every couple of days between 5 PM and 7 PM. They let it ring for ages until my answering machine picks up, then promptly hang up. I've answered the phone several times, only to put it back down, but it appears to go unnoticed by them. For the sceptics out there, give them a bell! You’ll only be met with a recorded message explaining who Forsa is and how they've obtained your number.
