I received a call at my elderly mum's house claiming there was an issue with her computer. I had to explain that there's no computer there, to which the chap, who had a very thick Asian accent, responded by calling me a liar. If you’ve got a bit of spare time, just humour them and act like you’re right at your computer when they call. When they ask what’s on your screen, tell them “watch out for numpties calling from India” and then just chill and watch their frustration grow, it’s hilarious!

Some bloke called Brian claiming to be from Microsoft. I told him I wasn’t interested, but then out of nowhere he started asking if I had slept with my husband the night before. I was stunned and just replied, “Excuse me?” He kept repeating the same question. I ended the call, but he rang me back straight away. Got a call around 10.45 this morning. The person said, "Hi how are you today," with a sort of Spanish accent. I just hung up straight away. No legit business would start off like that, right? These calls always seem to come in about this same time. I’m guessing it’s got something to do with the time zone they're ringing from. Makes you wonder what’s really going on.

They had me check the Event Viewer for error messages to "prove" my computer was faulty, then asked me to download a program - which I guess was so they could get remote access. On the morning of 26th October 2017, at around 8:48, I got a call but no one spoke when I picked up. I began to fill out a PPI claim form which looked like it came from my bank, but something felt off. So, I decided to ring my bank straight away to check, and it turned out to be a bit suspicious after all.
