Today I got a call again from this number, and it was a recorded message from a woman with an American accent. She was warning that our internet would be disconnected and told me to press 1 to talk to a BT Engineer.

I got a call from this number warning me my phone line would be cut off. There was a recorded message from a woman who sounded Indian or Pakistani. Then suddenly the call dropped but I was still trying to listen.

Got a voicemail from 02287961158 at about 11 this morning, Monday the 1st of October 2018. It was some automated American lady saying she was from BT and that my internet would be cut off unless I pressed 1 or 2 or whatever. When will Ofcom, BT, Talk Talk and the rest actually sort out these annoying scam calls? Honestly, it’s just ridiculous rubbish flooding our phones!

I just got a call, it was one of those recorded messages saying my internet was gonna be disconnected. This isn’t the first time either, loads of calls from what sounds like the Indian subcontinent with exactly the same warning. Feels like a planned scam. Properly dodgy and likely trying to rob people’s bank accounts. What freaked me out even more was one caller saying they were from Pakistan. Makes you wonder if it’s some kind of terror group trying to raise money or something. Properly scary stuff.

Total rip-off. What I do with dodgy calls is stick the number in my contacts as 'IGNORE', so when they ring again, I see 'IGNORE' on the screen and just let it ring out. My mobile lets me have loads of numbers saved under the same name, which is handy. But my landline's a bit limited and only takes one number per name, so I end up putting them in as IGNORE1, IGNORE2, IGNORE3 and all that. Saves the hassle of answering some scammer every time!

Got the same thing on my UK landline this morning, kept ringing over and over. The number looked dodgy, started with 022 or something like that. I didn’t answer it, seemed fishy. Cheers for the heads-up though, I’ve blocked it now. #smileyface

Got a call from some robotic bloke with an American accent saying he was from BT. He told me my internet line was "compromised" and that they’d be cancelling it soon. Total scam, as usual. It’s actually the third call like this I’ve had this week. The earlier ones were from women who sounded Indian. I’ve just blocked the number now.

I've gotten a few of these calls recently, all from numbers linked to the Indian subcontinent with the same kind of message. Seems like a coordinated scam to me. It's really worrying stuff, probably some dodgy group trying to drain people's bank accounts. What freaked me out even more was that one caller said they were from Pakistan. Could this be connected to some kind of ISIS funding scheme? Seems proper dodgy if you ask me.

Got a call from this number earlier and they left a really messy voicemail saying I’m getting cut off in 2 days. They told me to press 1 to talk to a technician - yeah right, as if I’d do that! Nowadays I just ignore calls from numbers I don’t know. If it’s important, they’ll leave a message and then I might ring them back.
