I received a call from a chap who had quite the Indian accent, purporting to be from a marketing firm in the UK. He claimed they had a way to lower my monthly charges for blocking those pesky nuisance calls. He was adamant about insisting that his service wasn't similar to TPS-which, as we know, is complimentary-and that it was somehow bundled into my phone bill. Apparently, £9 a month was going towards this, but he promised he could slash it down to £6.50 for me, along with everyone else in my vicinity. Complete nonsense, really, though he sure had a way of making it sound plausible. I let him ramble on for about four minutes before I decided enough was enough and terminated the call.

Got a call from some bloke about our telly, he already knew our name and where we lived which was a bit odd. Didn’t mention any company though, so I got a funny feeling about it. Told him to stop calling and leave us alone.

I received a call from a man with an Asian accent who insisted I had insurance for a television malfunction, which I do not. He mentioned that I was supposedly paying £7 a month and that he could lower the cost.
Without a doubt, it was a dodgy scheme! I directed him to take a hike and promptly ended the call!

Got a call from someone with an Asian accent who somehow already knew our names. He said something like "looks like you’ve been getting loads of annoying calls lately." He brought up a firm called Optima or something similar. Then he said he was one of the ones causing the trouble, so we told him to buzz off. We ended the call straight away and blocked the number afterwards.

I received a call from an Indian chap using this number who insisted I had a television maintenance plan. The truth is, I don’t have any such coverage. I decided to humour him for a short while before eventually telling him he was speaking utter nonsense. Even then, he stubbornly maintained that I had this so-called cover! Once I made it clear that I wasn’t falling for it, he lost his cool and asked why I was wasting his time. I simply shot back, “Because you’re wasting mine!” At that point, he got quite flustered, told me to “shut up,” and abruptly hung up.
