Got a call on my landline today from 02255 123215 (I'm ex-directory so never expect anything). Answered but just heard silence on the other end. Checked this site and now I understand why. Wish there was a way to block numbers on my old landline, but there isn't!

I got a call early today, I said "hello" and they just cut off after a few seconds of silence. The number isn’t real, so I did a bit of digging and found it’s somewhere in the UK, maybe Birmingham, Luton, Bradford, or Bristol (pretty much any place where Aladin Ali's might be hanging out, ####sandy arabs).

Got a call today from someone claiming to be from Microsoft HQ, said there was some error coming from my laptop and even knew my name. They asked me to do a few things on my computer which I did, but then they wanted me to download some software and I said no. They got a bit annoyed and just hung up.

Got a call from a woman claiming to be from Windows. Not Microsoft, but just Windows ;) She asked if I owned any Windows PCs like HP or Dell :D I pretended to play along, then she said there was some weird activity on my Windows computer. She started by asking if I had any Windows devices, then suddenly mentioned unusual stuff happening on them :) She tried to get me to log into my PC, but when I said I thought she was after my personal data, she just hung up.

I just received a call from this number claiming there was an issue with my laptop. I told them that I don't actually own one, and suddenly, the call dropped. Quite peculiar, isn’t it?

I picked up the phone, but there was no one there on the other end. All I could make out was the sound of papers shuffling about. This isn't the first occasion I've been bothered by this number, either.

They rang me up today, these scammy types. I kinda suspected straight away so I just messsed around with them for like 10 mins. Then the bloke said I clearly knew nothing about computers. I told him I’m actually a computer engineer (which is true) and was just messing him about - he hung up quick sharp!

Spoke to an Asian woman who then handed me over to her manager after I questioned her story. When I asked him to confirm his identity and mentioned I’d ring back, he threatened to disable my computer to prove he was legit. His tone was really aggressive, borderline threatening. I told him I couldn’t understand how he sleeps at night and ended the call.

Just got a call from 02255123215, some Asian bloke claiming to offer Windows support. I nearly let him into a fake virtual PC cause I work in IT, wanted to see his moves. Then he abruptly cut me off! Quite let down, to be honest :) All jokes aside - just hang up and block that number! They’re total scammers. Tried ringing back but the number didn’t even go through.

Got a call from someone claiming to be from Microsoft about issues with my PC! Normally I humour these conmen, but there’s only so much nonsense I can put up with, so I hung up after a few mins! I’d love to give them a piece of my mind down the phone, but that’s not really allowed. It’s infuriating how little they care about causing distress or swiping people’s cash. They often pick on older folks or those who don’t know better. I honestly thought this kind of thing was over! There should be stronger steps taken to shut down this unfair behaviour!

I've had two calls from this number in just two days. Yesterday, all I heard was dead silence, but today a woman claimed to be from Microsoft Windows, saying there was an issue with my computer, even though I haven't used it in ages! I straight up told her it was a scam and said I'd be reporting the number.

Nothing bothers me more than dragging myself outta bed to pick up the phone, only to hear complete silence. I'm the one they’re ringing after all. A while back, I got called three times in like thirty minutes, all from Preston but with different numbers each time. When will it end?! I never answer, but there are folks out there who might not be able to handle this kind of nonsense.

Flagged as risky since it could cause real problems if you get caught out. They call pretending to help but really wanna get you to download stuff that’ll mess up your computer. I had a laugh acting like I was clueless about computers and couldn’t find any keys on the keyboard :) Thought if I waste a bit of their time, that’s less time they have to trick people who don’t know about these scams. Like others have mentioned, get creative and make these scammers’ jobs as hard as possible!

Got a call from a guy with an Asian accent, maybe called David, saying he was from Microsoft about my Windows computer. I think I must have sounded a bit amused or something, 'cause he just hung up. Clearly a scam. I left the number unblocked so I can mess about if they call back. Marked it as Dangerous since it could cost you money if you actually fell for it.

Hi there! I received a call from this number recently. The caller claimed to be from Kernel, introducing himself as a Microsoft engineer. They insisted that my computer was in jeopardy, citing severe errors and suggesting I might lose all my data unless I provided my administrative password right away. They also provided a contact number, 02037706990, and referred to themselves as Harry Watson. However, when I called back, the number showed as unknown, and the person answering didn't sound credible at all. Everything about this encounter felt rather odd!

Those blokes on the line just won't give it a rest. So, take a leaf out of my book: fire back with some cheeky remarks and string them along. Let out your frustrations-it's therapeutic! If enough of us do it, perhaps they'll finally get the hint.

Just like loads of others have mentioned, this is defo a scam. Personally, i mess about trying to see how long i can keep the caller going. I act all baffled or start chatting about the weather or random nonsense until they give up. The longer i waste their time, the fewer innocent people they bother. Give it a go and get creative with it!

A nice woman named Kay gave me a ring. I asked her to hold on while I tried to trace the call, and then started asking where they got my number from considering the Data Protection Act 1998 and if they had my permission. Then I asked about their Data Protection Officer. I kept telling her to wait on the line as the trace wasn’t finished yet. Sadly, she ended the call. If she gets in touch with you, please tell her to call me back. I reckon I could keep this up for ages lol.
