8 yearsOn 27th February 2018, I kept getting calls from 0225512111, total scam alert! They asked for info about my computer (which I don't even own) and then insisted everyone has one. They wanted my bank details, threatening a virus if I didn’t cooperate. Absolutely no way I gave them anything. After I said no, this woman with an Asian accent just hung up. I’ve blocked that number now but they still called me from another one. Really wish the cops or phone companies could step in and stop these annoying calls.8 yearsI didn’t pick up when they called.8 yearsso this number called me yesterday sayin they were from microsoft and claimed my computer was full of viruses needing fixing. when they asked if i owned the pc, i told them it belonged to my son. then they wanted to know if he was over 21, and i said yes, and even mentioned he worked for microsoft. they ended the call straight away after that. i tried ringin back but it just said wrong number. watch out everyone, try my tactic - they’ll probably stop callin you after that!Microsoft8 yearsLooks like a scam where they try to get you to download some dodgy software so they can nick your personal info.8 yearsThis time I actually picked up as soon as it rang, just to say “hello” quickly, but all I got back was complete silence. I tried again, same outcome, then a faint click as they hung up. If they can’t even manage a reply, I’m guessing I’ll never speak to them properly. Seems like they want me (the everyday bloke) to call them instead, probably charging me through the nose on some premium line. Not a chance I’m falling for that nonsense!8 yearsI mostly use Apple stuff, but I kinda enjoy messing with their thinking. Picking up some hypnosis tricks now and then comes in handy.Apple8 yearsJust now I had the same thing happen. I got really suspicious when they started getting rude and kept saying I had to let them into my computer. Honestly, I’m not sure what my next move should be now.8 yearsOn the 16th of Feb 2018, I got a call from a bloke with an asian accent claiming to be from Microsoft, saying my computer was infected. I cut him off right away to say I don’t own a computer, and then the line just dropped. Pretty sure it was a scam where they want cash to “fix” fake viruses and probably grab your info too. Then on the 20th Feb, same number tried ringing me again at 8.42am but I missed it.Microsoft8 yearsGot a call I didnt want at all.8 yearsSo this bloke rings up saying he's from Microsoft, right? Then when I told him to stop calling and quit the fibbing, he just started cursing at me. Really makes you wonder how some folks can stoop that low.Microsoft8 yearsGot a call today from 0225512111 claiming to be from Microsoft. They said my computer was sending out messages or something and wanted me to sit by it. Told them I wasn’t home today and would be back tomorrow instead. They said they’d call me back around 3pm tomorrow. Bit suspicious if you ask me.Microsoft8 yearsI received a dodgy phone call purporting to be from the Windows support team. My computer isn't even damaged! What a nonsense!8 yearsClaimed his name was David and he was representing Microsoft. I ended up suggesting he look for a real job. He did manage to sound rather persuasive, even provided me with a so-called reference number for my computer. I insisted I couldn’t access my computer at that moment. He mentioned he'd ring me back at 2 o'clock. How delightful!DavidMicrosoft8 yearsroguish con artists8 yearsI got a call claiming to be from Microsoft saying my PC was infected and sending warnings about harmful files. They insisted I stay at my computer and team up with a Microsoft "technician" to sort it out. They said the fix wouldn't cost a thing until they identified the issue but that afterwards, charges could start at £50 per issue. When I asked for details about when these supposed messages had been sent from my computer, the line went dead.Microsoft8 yearsSo I got a phone call from a woman claiming she was with some Microsoft dept or whatever. I told her I don’t even use Microsoft stuff and called her out on the nonsense. She just hung up on me - bit funny really! Then, out of the blue, I get another call later that day from Madagascar. Being nosy I picked up but it was dead silent, no one spoke. Weird day for phone calls!MicrosoftMadagascar8 yearsGot a call from someone talking with an Asian accent claiming she was from Microsoft Windows, saying my PC was hacked or something. Was obviously a load of rubbish since I don’t even own a computer. She hung up super quick, like after 5 seconds. Total waste of time.MicrosoftSubmit Your Own Report (225512111)
