9 yearsI received a rather alarming message from some fraudsters, which really unsettled my parents and my missus. It's quite distressing how these schemes can affect the ones we care about.9 yearsSo I got a call saying they were from BT, telling me my internet was going to go down the next day. But then, to make matters worse, another company rang me up saying there were people spying on my computer, watching all my activity. Proper suspicious if you ask me.9 yearsThey rang purporting to be from BT, and I had a rather unpleasant encounter. It mirrored the issues we’ve been experiencing with our broadband, which has been plagued by a host of dodgy downloads. This chap insisted that their call took precedence over an important one I was awaiting. When I expressed my discontent, he was quite discourteous. Today, they rang again, and would you believe it, my ten-year-old answered? Rather than requesting to speak to an adult, they proceeded to give him the same old rigmarole. Absolutely baffling, to say the least!BT9 yearsGot three calls today from someone with an asian accent claiming to be from BT, saying my internet was acting up and I was getting hacked. I told them if they were legit BT, they should send info through the post and not keep ringing me. Then they got all shouty, yelling “what’s the problem then?!" so I just ended the call straight away.BT9 yearsthese are defo scammers trying to cause trouble, they drag it out for like 40 minutes. just tell them they're calling a police station and watch them leg it.9 yearsGot a call I really didn’t want. Proper annoying.9 yearsHad a bunch of calls from a number saying they were from BT, like 5 times today. Most of them were silent, which was super annoying!BT9 yearsI received a call from someone claiming to be James Wilson from BT, who informed me that my internet connection had evidently downloaded a plethora of harmful spyware over the past couple of days. Quite curious, considering I hadn’t even connected to WiFi during that timeframe! When I requested a verification number, he provided me with 02032877573. After doing a little digging, it turns out that this is actually a number linked to a BT scam. Just a heads-up for anyone else who might encounter this!James WilsonBT9 yearsThis seems to be a fraudulent operation, insisting it's affiliated with BT.BT9 yearsCould barely make out what the bloke was saying with his strong accent. Claimed he was ringing about my internet connection. When I asked who he was, he replied he was from some international internet firm. When I probed which one, he told me BT. Then he asked me to check my router and count the lights. Told him I hadn't contacted anyone about my internet and ended the call.9 yearsGot a call from this number out of the blue, and it sounded like there was a call centre buzzing away in the back. Weird thing is, no one actually said a word.Submit Your Own Report (021 8943 6789)
