I got a call from this number that started off as an automated message, claiming they had something important to discuss with me. I didn't want to engage, so I quickly hung up. Thankfully, I have the option to block nuisance calls on my phone, so that's exactly what I did!

Got loads of calls in just 30 minutes, but each time it only rang twice then cut off. Looked up the number here and decided to block it straight away.

Got a call at my job from 0216 223 9850, someone asking directly for me. They actually knew my full name and even my home address, somehow connected to the phone I use at work. They started asking if I’m still getting annoying calls. When I pushed back, the caller said they'd phone me again in about 30 minutes. I ended up reporting it to Action Fraud on 0300 123 20 40.

Got a call from someone with a thick asian accent trying to get my bank info under the guise of 'upgrading my call plan' for a one time fee of £21. I played along for a good 5 minutes, feeding him random stuff like the sell by date and a code I spotted on a fruit box. Figured, why not waste a bit of their time instead!

Got a call from some woman claiming to be from TPS, said they stop junk calls. She had an accent, English wasn’t great. I've been receiving persistent calls from this number, and the individual on the line has a distinctly Asian accent, claiming to represent TPS. They insist they can halt all those pesky unsolicited calls for a charge of £21.95, payable via debit or credit card. After being pestered four times just within the last couple of days, I ended up losing my patience and was rather blunt with them, especially since they've called again another four times! Now, I've wisely decided to let my answering machine handle it instead.

I got a call from this bloke who had my full address and name, which immediately made me uneasy. He claimed he needed the expiry date off my debit card to "update his records," but insisted he didn’t want the actual card number. Luckily, I didn’t give him anything.

Today, I received a rather suspicious call where they were quite insistent on obtaining information regarding my bank debit card. Strangely enough, they already seemed to have the name on the card along with its expiry date. Initially, I responded to a few questions, only to be transferred to some supposed 'senior manager' who repeated the very same queries. It slowly dawned on me that I was likely dealing with a scam, so I decided to terminate the call. No sooner had I put the phone down than they rang again, being rather aggressive in their approach. I opted to hang up once more, and thankfully, there’s been a welcome silence ever since.

Got a call from a guy with an Asian accent claiming he was from the Telephone Preference Management and could help block unwanted calls. I questioned if he actually meant Telephone Preference Service, but he just kept repeating his original claim. Sounded fishy, especially since I remembered he'd called me before. When I asked what he was offering, he said he could provide a gadget to stop the nuisance calls. Before he could explain further, I cut in saying let me guess, it’s gonna cost £89? Sure enough, he hung up right after - total scam.

That was a perfect moment for me to reply :) I told him it was only his calls bothering me, so if he could stop, that’d be great. Then I just ended the call.

I told him this was actually the twelfth time I’d been called by them in two days and made it clear I wasn’t interested, basically told him to just stop calling. But I reckon they probably don’t get the tone - they seem to talk among themselves like that non-stop, so my message probably didn’t hit home.

Got a call from a guy named Ralph, who said he was with some phone preference service. He somehow already knew my address and name but then asked for my card’s expiry date. I received a phone call from an Asian woman who claimed to represent something called Telephone Preference Management. She requested that I confirm whether my phone bill was settled via direct debit and also asked if I could verify the last three digits of some direct debit reference. However, as soon as she brought up anything regarding card numbers, I firmly stated that I wouldn’t be discussing any account details with her. I pointed out that this was a clear case of cold calling, wished her a good day, and promptly ended the call. Shortly thereafter, a chap named Lewis rang in from the same organisation. I declined to engage with him and politely said goodbye before hanging up.

Got a call earlier from someone claiming to be with telephone preference management - not to mix up with TPS though.
