I received an inexplicable call with no one on the other end. Quite peculiar, really.

Total scam. They said there was an issue with my laptop but instantly got off the phone as soon as I told them about the latest GDPR regulations.

I picked up right away because my elderly parents have health issues, so I’m always on edge waiting for an important call. But as soon as I said hello, the caller hung up! These scammers don’t even seem to realise how stressful it is for people like me just having to answer the phone. With how advanced tech is these days, there must be a better way to keep these nuisances away. After I started blocking all unknown numbers, the hang-up calls from numbers that do actually show up are shooting up, even though I keep adding them to my block list. I don’t know what to do anymore!
