This number kept ringing me nonstop all week, even when I was out walking. I jotted down a few different names they used each time they called, but it was always some company I’d never heard of. Totally confusing. I’d say better add this number to your block list so it doesn’t bug you like it did me.

I told the woman on the phone that computers aren’t really my thing and that I’d have to ask my husband to ring her back, since I had no clue where he’d put the Windows key.

Got a call from someone who kept dodging my questions about their identity - felt like a total scam.

Nothing but silence on the line. I ended the call after about 16 seconds.

they've rung me a couple of times but just go silent and then end the call.

I've gotten a couple calls from this number at random times throughout the day. When I answer, there's just silence until I end the call.

This is just another dodgy company trying to scam you. Best to just ignore them!

Looks like they didn’t get hold of me. Bit of a shame, really! I reckon I’ll just keep giving them the cold shoulder.

This number’s been blowing up my phone quite a few times, popping up morning, afternoon, and even late at night. I just stay quiet when they ring, waiting for them to speak first, and the moment they say “hello,” I cut them off. If I don’t pick up, it just goes straight to voicemail but guess what? Not a single message ever.

Answered the call but no one spoke. Seems like another scam to me.

Got a call today from a poorly spoken Asian woman claiming to be from BT, about 12:29. She said there was a problem with my computer and wanted me to let her access it. I played along for a bit, then made it clear I wasn’t having any of it. She hung up on me, but then called right back. When I answered again, I just told her to get lost.

First got a call from an unknown international number showing no caller ID, then this same number rang. A man with what sounded like an Indian accent said he was calling from BT about issues with my internet and router. He kicked off by asking how many lights were blinking on my router. He then told me to open my computer, press the Windows key plus R, and type 'eventvwr'. I quickly suspected it was a con but played along, pretending to follow his instructions to see what his next move would be. When I said my laptop battery was dead and I needed to find the charger, he got annoyed and started raising his voice, questioning why I wasn’t treating the problem seriously. Absolutely a scam, nothing to do with BT, just a trick to get access to your computer, passwords, or banking details. Best to just ignore and not pick up.

This number rang me about 7:55 in the morning just as I was rushing to get the kids ready for school. At first, I thought it might be an urgent family matter since it’s rare we get calls that early. I couldn’t find my phone straight away so I didn’t answer - honestly, probably for the best after reading the reviews here!

Some guy with an Indian accent rang me claiming he was from BT, said there was an issue with my computer and wanted to fix it. He asked to connect to my PC but didn’t know my name or account details, which was a dead giveaway for a scam. Sounds like he just wanted to gain access and plant malware to nick my cash. When I called him out on it, he got annoyed and abruptly ended the call. Classic scammer behaviour.

Got a call from some bloke with an Indian accent saying he was from BT, wanted to chat about my internet. I told him I don’t actually have internet. Next thing, he tells me to "buzz off" and slams the phone down. If they ring you, mess around with them a bit so they end up paying loads for the call, but never share any of your details.

What a right bunch of charlatans! They tried to convince me that our computer was infected with a virus that they claimed to have found. As soon as I asked them for more details about the supposed problem, they abruptly hung up.

I received a call from someone named 'David' whose accent seemed to indicate a Chinese background. She claimed she was supposed to credit our account with a sum of £900 but failed to provide any verification of her identity or account details. It was quite clear this was a scam, so I quickly terminated the call. What’s particularly intriguing is that these specific fraudsters have been consistently using the number 02127773456 to reach out, all sharing a remarkably similar tale. One can only hope the UK government will take action to shut down these criminal operations so that we can stop receiving such dubious phone calls.

I received a call from individuals claiming to be from Windows support, alleging they had identified a problem with our computer. The caller introduced herself as Mike, though her accent was evidently foreign. However, the moment we asked her to confirm which version of Windows we were using and to explain the supposed issue, she abruptly hung up. Quite suspicious, if you ask me!

Could this be tied to some sort of Russian connection? Specifically, is it regarding a mobile phone number?

I just let my voicemail get it. Usually they never bother to leave any message. Then I either block them or save their number just in case.

Curious situation, really. A fellow gave us a bell and claimed that our number is associated with someone who's either receiving treatment or has recently been to the hospital. He wanted us to confirm that, but we chose not to divulge any information. Quite the peculiar call, if you ask me!

How peculiar! We received a call from this number (the person had an Indian accent), and they were asking for details about our card to supposedly block our account related to some international exchange. It all felt a bit dodgy, and we couldn’t quite decide if we should contact the authorities or not.

She asked us which network we were using, whether we had a contract, the duration of it, and precisely how much we were paying. Her excuse? She claimed it was for some sort of survey. The thing is, she already knew our address, and then insisted that we confirm the number we provided. We said no, but I truly doubt she believed us! We're quite anxious about this situation! What should we do now? We pressed her on how she obtained our details, but all she did was mention that it was listed on her database. What other information might she have in there?

We're absolutely fed up with the incessant calls from this number. Clearly, they're trying to reach someone who doesn’t even reside here. This time, the caller claimed to be affiliated with the Abbey, which, as we all know, is a place that's no longer operational. The identity of the calling party remains a mystery!

Got a call from a bloke with an Indian accent claiming to be from Windows Support about some error reports supposedly sent from my PC yesterday. I asked him for a phone number to return the call, but he wouldn’t give me one. When I pressed him about how I could be sure he was legit, he mentioned my computer’s ID. I told him to call back in an hour, but he never did. I checked using 1471 and saw the same number had called earlier. Also, when I answered, there was a long pause before anyone actually spoke.
