I have experienced this twice within the same year.

I am not aware of any fines that I may owe currently. I have been receiving the same text message, and when I called, there was no one available to assist me. The phone line on the other end was an automated system and the number had a Cape Town area code. It's worth noting that I reside in Johannesburg.

I've received a few text messages regarding outstanding fines. I've been ignoring them, but my husband gets angry if I don't do something about it. I don't know where they're coming from because I haven't received any postal notices about the fines.

I got the exact same text and decided to give them a call. They instructed me to leave my ID number, and assured me that an agent would contact me soon. It's really frustrating that nothing is being done to stop these people. This scam has been going on for quite some time and they have managed to trick so many people out of their money. I remember hearing a radio interview on 702 two years ago with law enforcement officials who claimed they were investigating this issue. I can't help but wonder how much longer it will take for them to put an end to it. I'm curious as to how these scammers are able to obtain our ID numbers and cell phone numbers. It makes me question whether or not there are law enforcement officials involved in this operation.

I received a text message from an unfamiliar number, informing me about unsettled traffic fines for my ID ending in ****. The message warned that if I didn't resolve them, I would face legal consequences. I had a hunch that this was suspicious because I knew I didn't have any fines and the grammar in the message seemed incorrect. Thankfully, I stumbled upon this blog.

I have actually received two separate ones. RTIA has been stating on their website since September 21, 2017 that this is a scam. One should not be deceived by these despicable individuals.

I have just received an SMS stating that there is a warrant for my arrest. Immediately, I called the number provided and left my ID number and cellphone number. The fear that has consumed me is overwhelming as I am uncertain about what they intend to do with my personal identification details.

I received a text message earlier this morning. I promptly shared this message on WhatsApp, cautioning all my friends about it being a potential scam. It is worth noting that these scammers already tried this trick on me earlier this year, but I didn't fall for it back then. The ID number provided in the message is incorrect, and I haven't had any vehicle registered under my name since 2008.

Got a text saying there’s unpaid traffic fines and that they’d take legal steps if I didn’t click on the link or call them. The message even had the last four digits of my ID. But I’m certain I don’t owe anything because I just renewed my driving licence and there was nothing showing up on their side. Pretty sure it’s a scam.

However, when I finally reached the front of the queue, I was greeted with a recorded message instructing me to leave my ID number for a callback from an agent. After conducting thorough research, it appears that this is likely a scam.
