Just a heads up to everyone - I’ve reported this number to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk) and I’d really recommend you do the same. From what I’ve seen, they actually take these kinds of scam calls seriously and have the power to go after those annoying fraudsters. Don't just ignore it!

Blimey, this number is proper annoying us lately. They call like three times every day. Since we’ve got caller ID, we just hang up straight away when the number pops up. I even had a go at calling them back, ready to give them a good telling off about infringing on our right to be left alone, threatening to get a lawyer involved - only to find you can’t ring the number back! I’m thinking of reporting them to BT and reckon others should as well, cos they’re pretending to be with BT, which seems dodgy as heck.

This number has been popping up on my phone every single day this week, but they never leave a voicemail, which made me suspicious it could be a telemarketer. Today, I finally answered and got someone speaking with an Asian accent, claiming to be from BT. They were offering three months free service if I just verified my bank account info. It felt dodgy straight away, so I just hung up and didn’t share any details. I’m a BT customer myself, but I know they wouldn’t ask for bank details like that or hand out freebies to current users. Definitely a scam in my opinion.

Got a right annoying call again from some woman who sounded Indian, claiming to be from BT accounts. We switched our provider ages ago! Just how do these muppets manage to get hold of our number?

Had three calls from them this week alone. Total SCAM, don’t waste your time. Some Indian lady with rough English was going on about a 'free' BT landline for 3 months. I just let her say her rehearsed nonsense, then told her exactly what I thought before ending the call.

Just had a call from someone with a thick Indian accent claiming her name was Grace. She said she was calling from BT and went on to verify my address and phone number. Then she asked for my bank info to supposedly set up three free lines with no line rental. I told her I wasn’t giving out any bank details and she suddenly got really pushy. When I asked to speak with her supervisor, she refused, so I ended the call. Definitely a scam!

Just like others mentioned before, I’m not an account holder either but still gave it a go using my regular address and stuff. Watch out though, if the ad asks for bank info, it’s probably a scam. Stay safe!

Right from the start, it felt like a total scam. A woman with an Asian accent called, saying she was from BT and offering a £25 discount on my bill for paying regularly. When I asked her which BT account she meant, she just said she wasn’t there to talk about account details. So I just ended the call straight away.

Got a call from someone claiming to be from BT, kept bothering my 90 year old mum. She's already under so much strain looking after my dad who's 93 and has Alzheimer's. Honestly, it’s awful they’d target her like this. Life’s tough enough for her without these calls. What a shame.

On the 8th of Feb 2017, I got a call from a woman who said she was with BT, telling me about some deal with cheaper calls and a free landline. She then asked me to verify some info about my account number and how I pay my bills. I wasn’t convinced and suspected it was a scam, so I just ended the call straight away.

Got a call from a bloke speaking with an Indian accent, said he was from BT billing or something. He was pushing some deal about three months of free calls plus a big discount. Asked me for my address so he could send me the offer in writing. Well, he had the completely wrong address and when I corrected him, he just cut the call. Total scam if you ask me!
