I’ve been inundated with calls from this number today, five in total, and all seemed to originate from individuals with Indian or Asian accents. The first quartet was handled by a woman who insisted she could upgrade my TPS account to help mitigate nuisance calls. After several attempts, she seemed to lose hope. However, just thirty minutes later, a gentleman rang, asserting he was affiliated with the TPS as well. He stated our phone account was settled via direct debit and that the card linked to it was nearing expiration. When I informed him I didn’t have the card on hand, he promptly ended the call. His initial pitch was fairly convincing until he brought up the card issue. Is the TPS aware that this sort of deceitful behaviour is taking place?

This number kept ringing me 6 times today but I didn't answer once. Thankfully, this site helped me figure out who it was, so now I’m gonna block them for good.

Loads of different numbers keep popping up on my phone. This morning I picked up and the caller said they were offering an upgrade for call blocking. The moment they started asking for my bank info, I hung up straight away. Honestly, it’s pretty scary how much they seem to know already!

Got a call from 02093628024, they asked for me using an accent that was hard to catch. They said something about the Telephone Preference Scheme and wanted to know if I was receiving nuisance calls. I just said yes and told them I was going to hang up now.

Had a call from 02093628024, some bloke who said his name was John but sounded like he had an Asian accent. Claimed he was ringing from TPS and offering some upgrade to stop nuisance calls from overseas (which obviously weren’t his own calls!). He told me the upgrade was free but then hit me with a one-off charge of £21.99. Didn’t hang about, just ended the call.

Got a call from 020 9362 8024 but I reckon it's a fake number. The voice sounded like someone from an Indian call centre, probably trying to scam people out of cash for something that isn’t real at all. Seems like classic spoofing to me.

The gentleman on the line appeared to have an Indo-Asian accent. He was inquiring about Mr X, but I informed him he had dialled the wrong number. However, he insisted that he was in the right and mentioned something about registering my number to prevent unwanted calls. I told him to go ahead and register it, before promptly ending the call. Just to note, this is a brand new number provided by my internet service, so it’s curious that anyone would even have it.

I've been getting nonstop calls from what seems like at least half a dozen different dodgy numbers - those TPS scammers really won't give up. In the past week, they've rung me more than 40 times. Proper nuisance, these lot.

This morning I got calls from 02093523924 and before that 02093628024, kept ringing but when I answered no one was there. Both numbers apparently said they were from TPS, like others have mentioned. Didn’t bother sticking around to hear what they wanted.

I didn’t pick up as I keep getting these annoying calls from different numbers all the time. They’re always switching their numbers. Honestly, the government really needs to put an end to these.

These annoying TPS scammers just won’t quit, no matter what. I've got this BT call blocker thing that does a pretty good job stopping them, but it still tells me the last number that rang me. You’d think they’d get the hint that my number’s blocked already. Honestly, don’t pick up for these clueless muppets trying to rip people off. TPS should be off limits!

I got a call from 02093628024 about upgrading some call blocker for scam calls. I told them I wasn’t interested, then they actually said they hope I keep getting annoying calls and that I deserve to be scammed! Quite rude if you ask me.

Its the third time today they've rang me. Usually I dont bother answering if I dont know the number, but this time I did. They asked if I was getting any unwanted calls, and I told them the only annoying calls were from them and then hung up. Since then, they've called again but I've just left it ringing.

Claims to be from the Telephone Preference Service. They had my name, number, and address all sorted. Then they started probing for my credit card info. I ended the call but they've attempted to ring me multiple times since.

I've gotten loads of calls like this, all from different numbers so you can't just block 'em straight away (and my blocked list is maxed out). They keep saying they're from the TPS but the calls come from overseas, which is a bit dodgy.

Funny thing, I’ve been doing a bit of volunteering lately even though I’m disabled, and it’s made a difference. Since I’m out more, loads of those annoying scam calls don’t bother me as much. Just had one today from a woman, said her name was Sarah, sounded like she was from somewhere in Asia. “Sarah” - yeah right! I just left the phone hanging instead of answering.

Got a call from some bloke with an Asian accent, said his name was Mark and he was from TPS. He rattled off my name, address, postcode, and phone number like he already knew me. Then he claimed you could only renew TPS over the phone and asked for my credit card expiry date. I kept telling him I’d do it online, but he wouldn't listen, so I just hung up. Funny thing, I tried sorting the TPS renewal online a few days before and it said I was still registered anyway.

This morning at precisely 10:22, I received a call from this number. Upon answering, I was greeted by an Asian-sounding individual inquiring after a Mr ...-a name completely unfamiliar to me. When I informed him that he had dialled the wrong number, he proceeded to question whether I was the proprietor of this phone number. Curiosity got the better of me, and I asked for his identity, only for him to abruptly terminate the call. Quite puzzled by the whole encounter! These unsolicited calls should really be curbed.

I got calls from 02093628725 three times. Ignored the first two, then answered on the third but stayed silent. They just hung up. I decided to block their number after that. Today, a different number, 02093628024, called me. The woman on the line asked me to confirm my last name but said it wrong. When I asked who was asking, she said it was regarding the number I had blocked. I ended the call straight away.
