My phone number's been faked by someone else. I’d suggest you get in touch with your phone company, give them the exact dates and times of those annoying calls so they can look into it. That’s what BT’s nuisance team told me since they can’t track anything without those details. Just to be clear, I haven’t called you.

Someone rang claiming to be from TalkTalk, saying my computer was being hacked or something dodgy was going on. Honestly, why do we just put up with these kinds of calls? It’s like we're making it easy for them by not standing up. We're basically asking for it by letting these scams keep happening! - caller: Said they were from TalkTalk ???

Had a call from someone claiming to be Talk Talk’s tech support, calling me by my first name and sounding quite friendly. They said my internet was in danger of being cut off because the router was sending error signals. It was the first time I'd seen that number, though I've had about ten calls similar to this before, all complaining about router problems. I told them I knew Talk Talk had been breached recently, with customer info taken, and said I wasn’t expecting any calls from them. I made it clear I thought this was just another scam trying to get me to go online with them or hand over my bank info. I said I wouldn’t do either and warned I’d block the number and report it. After that, the line went dead. Caller ID was unknown.

got a call today 17 feb 2016 from a number 02089957406 saying they were from talk talk and telling me to visit teamviewer.com. I just hung up immediately.

I said "Are you a hacker?" and the person instantly hung up on me. Seriously, don't get caught out by this one. Caller ID was 020 8995 7406.

POSSIBLE SCAMMER Person said they were from TalkTalk and even mentioned my account number with them. They got me to open command.com and check netstatus.com. Up to that point, nothing harmful seemed to happen. Next, they asked me to download teamviewer.com so they could take over my computer remotely. I refused and immediately hung up. Definitely felt fishy - caller seemed like a POSSIBLE SCAMMER.
