Received a call at 7 in the morning for three consecutive days, claiming there was an issue with my modem and that BT was dealing with matters in the area. They suggested I might want to consider upgrading my internet. I decided to dodge the calls, but it's quite unsettling to receive such messages at that hour!

this morning my phone rang with a super fuzzy line, couldn’t really catch the guy’s name or who he was with (bt i think) until i asked about 3 times. he said he was ‘jason wilson’, spoke with a really thick indian accent, and mentioned my router was sending loads of errors. i told him i’m in it myself and the moment i said that, he just put the phone down. total scam attempt, most likely trying to get into my computer or something.

I mentioned that the number was flagged as a scam, then a person claiming to be the manager got on the line. When I told them the number actually belongs to a newsagent up in North London, they just ended the call.

This number has called me twice in a row the last couple of days. It keeps ringing and when I finally answer, there’s nobody there. Feels like some sort of automated call. What’s really annoying is that they’re calling really early in the morning, disturbing everyone at home and making things a bit stressful.

I got a call from Charmys Newsagent at 29 High Street, Acton, London, W3 6ND, they were acting like they were from BT. Definitely feels dodgy and they ought to be looked into.

I picked up the phone, but all I got was silence! They rang me three times in the space of just twenty minutes. In the end, I lost my patience and told that mute caller exactly what I thought of them!

I just got a call like that too, anyone know who I should reach out to about it? Should I just ring the police and give them the location?

After a weird silence, a woman claiming to be Jennifer from ‘BT Openreach’ told me some ‘outsiders’ were messing with my broadband. Then she passed me over to a bloke called Mark Wilson, a supervisor. He told me to press the Windows key and R at the same time and read out what popped up. I wasn’t daft, so I didn’t do it and instead asked him for a proper name. Even though he said he was Mark Wilson, his thick Indian accent made me doubt it. When I asked again, he just snapped, “shut up you idiot!” and then cut the call.

Somebody rang claiming to be from BT Openreach about an issue with my internet. They seemed clueless about who they were actually ringing, and as soon as I told them they’d reached a solicitor’s office, they just ended the call. I’m guessing it’s one of those classic scams where they aim to get you to hand over access to your computer or something like that.

I got a call from 02089921995 saying they were BT Openreach and needed to check some suspicious activity on my internet. They asked if I was by my PC, but I told them I'd ring back later. They tried to give me some tech support numbers, but I mentioned I already have the number from my bill. Right after that, they just cut the call. Feels a lot like a scam to me.
