I received a rather unsettling automated message, complete with a robotic tone, claiming to be worried about a couple of substantial international transactions from my bank account. They urged me to press 1 to get in touch with an agent. I must stress, whatever you do, don’t engage! It’s a scam! Their aim is to pilfer your banking information.

Got a call from this number earlier today and as soon as I picked up, some automated message told me that two big overseas payments were charged to my card and asked me to press 1 to talk to someone. I never made those payments, so I rang my credit card company straight away and they told me my account hasn’t had any transactions like that at all.
